Circuits of Value: How does it live up to its name?

This is a quick-thought, community-written piece about the crypotcurrency $COVAL, or Circuits of Value, and its application name — Emblem Vault

Typical of how I write articles, I find myself asking a question: What does Circuits of Value mean? And luckily for me, I have already written an article using the analogy of a railway system to describe Emblem Vaults and the Circuits they can connect. Again, let’s speculate on what it means to establish a circuit of value with in the cryptocurrency field.

Let’s define the conventional electronic circuit

An electronic circuit is composed of individual electronic components, such as resistors, transistors, capacitors, inductors and diodes, connected by conductive wires or traces through which electric current can flow. To be referred to as electronic, rather than electrical, generally at least one active component must be present. The combination of components and wires allows various simple and complex operations to be performed: signals can be amplified, computations can be performed, and data can be moved from one place to another.

And as I like to do, let’s rewrite that for COVAL

A cryptographic circuit is composed of individual cryptographic blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Matic Network, Cardano, and Stellar which are connected by COVAL, through which Emblem Vaults and value can flow. To be referred to as decentralized, rather than centralized, generally at least 51% of the mechanisms must be controlled by greater than one entity. The combination of dApps and components from the individual blockchains allow for various simple or complex transactions to occur: inherent value on a specific blockchains can be bridged and transferred on other blockchains, mixed intrinsic-value can be transacted, and any data can be encrypted and moved between a select set of public or private chains.

Circuits of Value is the first interchain token available to the crypto community. The vision of the team at COVAL and Emblem Vault seeks to shift the paradigm on which cryptocurrencies were segragated — leverage specific features of individual blockchains in a way that they are interoperable. For example, let’s create magnificent NFTs on Ethereum, but let’s transfer them on Layer-2 Matic Network. Let’s add real value to them by creating NFTs that have Bitcoin as a store of value to them. Let us answer the question, “what blockchain is COVAL on?” with the answer, “all of them.”
